Elephant Robotics myAGV 2023 Pi is an AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) type mobile robotic platform, powered by a Raspberry Pi 4B (2GB RAM) onboard computer. This upgraded version compared to the previous generation comes equipped with planetary gear brushless DC motors, offering increased precision and higher driving power.
The chassis utilizes omnidirectional Mecanum wheels, protected by a fully enclosed metal shell. The robot runs an Ubuntu Mate 20.04 operating system customized by Elephant Robotics and is fully compatible with ROS (Robot Operating System), offering native support for 2D/3D SLAM mapping and navigation algorithms. It is designed as an ideal mobile base for research, STEAM education, and complex applications by integrating robotic arms from the myCobot, mechArm, or ultraArm series.
Key Features and Compatibilities
Autonomous Navigation and Vision: Thanks to the integrated LiDAR sensor and the 5MP camera, the robot executes precise space mapping and visual recognition via hand-eye calibration algorithms
Composite Robot Solutions: The chassis is pre-configured to carry and power robotic arms (for example, myCobot 280Pi), allowing the simulation of industrial logistics, sorting, and warehouse picking applications.
